Today’s smartphones are often big and it’s not easy to find solid compact smartphone, especially if you want a hi-end model. If you are fan of iPhones, Apple offers iPhone SE, a 4-inch beast, but there is one issue – it was not upgraded for longer time. No, iOS is not lagging on iPhone SE. Personally, I own iPhone 6s, I’m running iOS 13 and that phone is fast as beast, and iPhone SE is basically shrinked iPhone 6s. If you are looking for successor of iPhone SE, I have good news – according to reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is planning iPhone SE 2 for early 2020.
Early 2020 may mean late March 2020. Apple usually (but not always) hosts an event in late March, like this year with Apple’s event codenamed “It’s Showtime” hosted in March 25. iPhone should get design based on current iPhone 8, so new iPhone SE 2 will be slightly larger with 4.7-inch display. Based on these leaks, iPhone SE 2 will use Touch ID. There are still possibilities for entire display screen with Face ID and notch in style of iPhone 11, or even fingerprint integrated into screen, but because of low price – which should be set at 399 USD – it will be classic iPhone with Home Button.
Cheap does not mean slow. iPhone SE 2 will be equiped with the fastest mobile SoC we can find on market today – A13 Bionic. Unlike iPhone 11, it will only feature 3 GB of RAM, but don’t worry about performance – iOS is not Android, and as I said, iOS 13 is running perfectly on my iPhone 6s, which has 2 GB of RAM. If you own iPhone 6s and your fresh installed iOS 13 is lagging, it’s probably because of low battery health, so your device is throttled to prevent random restarts of device. To check battery health, go to Settings -> Battery -> Battery Health.
iPhone SE 2 will offer 64 GB and 128 GB storage options.
I’m compact smartphone, I’m cheap, I got hi-end performance and my operating system is designed perfectly for me. I’m iPhone SE 2. Do you want me?
