If you own a 2018 MacBook Air, just visit Apple’s support website to schedule an appointment with an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. You will need your serial number of your affected laptop. After it’s registered in Apple’s internal repair system, your logic board will be replaced. Apple will cover MacBook’s Air for 4 years since original purchase. If you have accidentally damaged your laptop and you don’t want to repair these damages, you will get still new logic board at no cost as long as the damage does not prevent completion of the repair. If damage prevents to replace logic board, you have to pay for needed service and then you will get new logic board at no cost.
Apple did not reveal details or symptoms of faulty logic boards and also has not publicly announced this repair policy, likely due to what it believes is a very small number of affected customers.
Apple really should look at quality issues and go back to its philosophy of perfect harmony between hardware and software.
