Apple released macOS Sierra

Apple UpdatesApple today released final version of its operating system for Mac computers – macOS Sierra. Apple renamed “Mac OS X” to “OS X” since OS X Mountain Lion and since now it’s called “macOS” to better match another systems from Apple -> iOS + watchOS + tvOS. Codename is Sierra, so full name of operating system is “macOS Sierra”. Biggest new feature is Siri. Now you can use digital assistant right from your Mac. Next feature is improved Continuity – now you got new “Auto Unlock” with Apple Watch and “Universal Clipboard”. Next news are rewamped Apple Music, Apple Pay for web, new storage optimization and improvements in Photos app including “Memories” tab and artificial intelligence.

  • MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 or later)
  • Retina MacBook (all current models)
  • MacBook (Late 2009 or later)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2010 or later)
  • Mac mini (Mid 2010 or later)
  • iMac (Late 2009 or later)
  • Mac Pro (Mid 2010 or later)
