Google Earth service began to display projected climate change

Users of electronic atlas on Google Earth can now view information on projected climate change on our planet before the end of this century. The new project is called Climate Change in Our World and is the result of joint work of Google, the British Meteorological Agency, as well as the British Antarctic research society.

The system Climate Change in Our World in the Google Earth service offers users two additional layer of information. One of them, you can see the average estimates of growth temperatures until the end of this century. The data can be viewed as across the planet, and focus on a particular region or even city. The second layer of information displays information about melting glaciers.

In addition, climatic Google Earth maps provide information about the ecological environment in certain areas. Users can also refer to the statistical data and know what steps can be taken to prevent global climate change.

According to forecasts of specialists in this century the average temperature on our planet increase by 1,8-4,0 њ Celsius due to emissions of greenhouse gases. This trigger floods and food shortages, creating a threat to the lives of millions of people.
