Virgin Group develops WiMAX network in 32 Russian regions
Company's Virgin Group and Trivon announced the launch of WiMAX high-speed broadband network under the brand "Virgin Connect" (Virgin Connect), manageable "Trivon" (Trivon), in 32 regions of Russia. Among these - Moscow, St. Petersburg and the twenty largest cities in Russia, for work which has all the necessary licences.
Running "Virgin Connect, as stated in a press release Trivon, should be somewhat alleviate the situation in the market, which constantly have to deal with bureaucratic delays and too complex system of charging.
According to Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Brensona, the company plans to occupy 10% of the broadband access market outlook over the next five years.
The implementation of the project is being held with the participation of investment companies Delta Partners and Eurasia Capital Management, each of which owns shares of the Trivon.
