The first computer virus author will create a new search engine
Richard Skrenta, author of the first computer virus, intends to establish a qualitatively new search engine.
The project was named Skrenty Blekko, but know about him so far very little. TechCrunch reports that Skrenta has already received to develop their then several million dollars of Baseline Ventures, SoftTech VC, Western Technology Investment, as well as Netscape founder Marc Andreessena. Currently Skrenta looking for professional developers for its project and is not planning anything to show earlier in 2009.
He added that Richard Skrenta wrote a little program Elk Cloner, which later became one of the first viruses spread, more than 25 years ago. To date, Skrenta is the founder of the battery news Topix.net. This service collects material from several thousand different sources, each ranked on the news one way or another category. In 2006, Topix.net received from well-known news agency 15 million dollars for further development.
