Microsoft interested in the social network Facebook
Corporation Microsoft, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, may make a proposal to purchase the social network Facebook. At least, investment bankers Microsoft has already contacted the leadership of Facebook, to discuss the possibility of a merger.
Nearly a half weeks ago, recall, Microsoft withdrew a proposal to purchase Yahoo. The Corporation was ready to pay for Yahoo 47,5 billion dollars, but the leadership of Internet companies thought that this amount insufficient. As a result, the parties have failed to agree on a price, and Microsoft said that will develop Internet business with other partners. One of those partners could theoretically become the second most popular in the world social network Facebook.
According to The Wall Street Journal, between Microsoft and Facebook has not yet been conducted intense negotiations, moreover, it is not clear whether the creator wants Mark Tsukerberg to sell Facebook social network. Nonetheless, you should note that Microsoft already owns a 1.6% stake in Facebook, which last year paid 240 million dollars.
