Poll Editors: news will be free

The company Zogby International conducted by order of Reuters and the World Editors Forum survey among leaders of printed periodicals around the world, which showed: more than half the editors believe that the news is doomed to become free of charge to readers in the near future. In addition, the editors believe that newspapers, for example, will no longer rely on prompt delivery of information, and to journalism and commentary.

Approximately 86% of respondents consider it necessary to further integration nyusruma newspaper and online services, two thirds are confident that in the coming decade, digital channels dissemination of information acquire a dominant position - the majority of readers will use mobile devices for reading the news.

A total of 56% of respondents believe that news - print or online - will in the near future, free of charge; last year just 48% of respondents shared this opinion.
