The total number of articles on Wikipedia exceeded 10 million
The total number of entries in the online encyclopedia Wikipedia recently exceeded ten million.
Wikipedia project was initiated in January 2001. At present, the encyclopedia contains records of about 250 languages, and the database is being updated daily by nearly 2000 articles. The most far-reaching is the English section, which has more than 2.3 million articles. In comparison, the Russian-speaking part on Wikipedia contains approximately 250 thousand records.
