Oracle acquired the software tool e-Test

The company Oracle has announced an agreement with the company Empirix, a developer of software tools for monitoring and testing of Web applications, as well as voice systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, Oracle gets right to a product called e-Test, created by programmers Empirix. This product allows for the comprehensive testing Web applications operating on servers, and identify problem components. Thanks to the use of e-tools Test corporate customers can improve the quality and speed of introduction of applications, as well as reduce the cost of deploying software infrastructure.

Financial terms of the transaction between Oracle and Empirix not disclosed. It is expected that after completion of the purchase of Oracle vstroit opportunities e-Test their products in the corporate level Enterprise Manager and Real Application Testing. As a result, Oracle expects to offer customers a more complete solutions performing testing Web applications.

Meanwhile, Oracle reported recently on performance in the third quarter of fiscal year 2008 (ended 29 February). Reported revenue of the company during the period from December to February inclusive amounted to 5,3 billion dollars, an increase of 21% above the rate for the third quarter of fiscal year 2007. Oracle Net income for the reporting quarter reached 1.3 billion dollars, or 26 cents per share.
